Pret-à-Porter Fashion in Paris
Every year, a fair takes place in the city of fashion, in the halls of the Carrousel du Louvre (7,100 m² with 4 exhibition halls and 2 multi-function spaces), in the heart of Paris, on the Voie Royale, adjacent to the Tuileries Gardens and the Louvre Museum.
It is organized by the Fédération Française de la Couture, du prêt-à-porter des couturiers et des créateurs de mode, a federation established in 1973 whose members include companies with internationally-famous brands such as Hermes and Jean Paul Gaultier.
Its purpose is to expand the role of Paris as the international capital of creation, by promoting the development of emerging brands and establishing synergies between the various members of the fashion production chain.
This is the context of the Spring/Summer 2010 pret-à-porter collection, which will present the work of 95 stylists, including Chanel, Christian Dior, Kenzo, Louis Vuitton, Pierre Cardin, Valentino and Yves Saint Laurent.
