Paris Music Fest
The Fête de la Musique is a massive street music festival. The streets and squares of Paris and all of France are jazzed up with hundreds of musicians for one day. The Fête de la Musique is above all a popular event open to all, whether professional or amateur musicians. The festival is open to all musical expressions, freely performing for the public in a joyous atmosphere, sharing the passion for music.
Musicians come from all musical backgrounds: rock, jazz, classical, folk and many more. Concerts are mainly held outdoors, in parks, squares, streets or in public buildings like museums and train stations.
The Paris Music Fest also host the VIPs of the music scene: large rock concerts are held in Place de la Republique while classical music is better expressed in the Royal Palace courtyard. Upcoming bands and Indian music usually rock the Place Denfert Rochereau in the south of the city.
