Roland Garros, 2008 French Open
The French Opens, in the legendary Roland-Garros Paris tennis shrine, is one of the most important tournaments in the world. The 500 top tennis players compete for the prestigious title for two weeks on the world's most famous clay courts.
Match tickets are highly contested, so much so that they are allotted by public drawings. Hopeful spectators must fill out a form, now available on-line at the official Roland Garros website (www.fft.fr/rolandgarros) to enter the drawings. Drawing reservations can be made from November 12, 2007 - March 15, 2008. Drawing winners will be announced between March 30 and April 15, 2008.
Unclaimed drawing tickets will be sold at the Roland Garros box-office (at Porte des Mousquetaires) about one week before matches start.
Naturally, tickets for less popular matches, played on minor courts, are easier to get and cost much less than center court matches.
When: the French Opens are played from May 25 - June 08, 2008
